I have always heard music. I was born in Hong Kong and moved to Boston Massachusetts as a child where my view and experience changed overnight but music remained a constant, familiar and comforting language. I began playing with vibrations when I was 7 years old, studying classical piano and later, playing the guitar and vocals. I remember many moments as a young girl, sitting quietly with my grandmother, who was deaf her whole life, learning to be present and in the moment where together we created a language based on sensing and knowing. She would hold my hands, look at my mother and say, “May May has good hands. Powerful hands.” I believed my grandmother, using my strong hands to play music and build things. Now I see that my hands have the capacity to heal.

After graduating with a degree in Architecture from Syracuse University New York in 1994, I moved to Leipzig in the eastern part of Germany. After a year of designing in Europe, I moved to San Francisco California to learn, work and grow, both professionally and personally. I spent the next 15 years in the Bay Area immersed in the Arts; my community consisted of creative people from designers, artists, musicians and dancers to healers and therapists. I continued to design socially conscious projects from low-income housing and community centers to sustainable and green designs. I also spent time living, learning and working at The Esalen Institute, a conscious community in Big Sur, California.

In 2005, longing to be closer to my Chinese culture, I became a certified practitioner in Feng Shui and discovered Sacred Geometry and vibrations in space. If space had a vibrational effect on people – physically, emotionally and energetically – what about a person’s anatomical, physiological and energetic body? I realized I wanted to learn more about people and the freeway that vibration affected them. It was then I realized that my path seemed to be heading home, back to energy and vibration, this time incorporating a more direct human element that I had always missed in architecture.

I studied East/West massage at the Oregon School of Massage in Portland Oregon and as a licensed massage therapist since 2009, I have continued to study and practice modalities such as Craniosacral Therapy, Shiatsu, Swedish, Reiki, Functional Methods related to Osteopathy, Energy/Intuitive Healing, Jin Shin Do, Reflexology, Samvahan as well as incorporating somatic psychology and mindfulness into the mix to deliver a unique treatment I have coined fre(E)quency. I work intuitively and creatively with the client's conscious and subconscious body system to listen, support, release and reflect what the body needs to express and create a safe dialogue with the client and their body towards healing.

I am very excited to be bringing this work to you and confident of its powerful healing possibilities. Thank you for sharing your fre(E)quency with me in this incredibly restorative and creative journey!
